DESCRIPTION:This is our May 2023 concert for our full orchestras and chamber group: Symphony\, Philharmonic and Chamber!  \n\n\n\nLocation: St. Andrew UMC (Plano) – 5801 W Plano Pkwy\, Plano\, TX 75093Time: 6:30-8:30PMTickets: $7 – see below to buy! \n\n\n\nWe are holding our season finale concert on May 21st\, 2023 at St. Andrew UMC. This concert will feature a student soloist\, Ethen Lim\, performing Saint-Saens Cello Concerto No. 1\, mvt.I with our Symphony Orchestra. (Ethen was the winner of our concerto competition this spring.) \n\n\n\nIn addition to that piece\, our Symphony orchestra will also perform Jupiter from the Planets (Holst) as well as Les Preludes (Liszt). Other featured pieces include: Symphony No. 2 mvt. 4 (Sibelius)\, An American in Paris Suite (Gershwin arr. Whitney)\, Swan Lake Suite\, mvt. I (Tchaikovsky) and Schumann’s Piano Quintet\, mvt. I.
