Junior Strings
Designed for string students with 2-4 years of experience and private lessons, the Junior Strings (JS) group plays literature at roughly a Grade 3 level (intermediate to late-intermediate.) Successful applicants to this group usually have the following characteristics:
- Comfortable playing 1st through 3rd positions
- Good foundational skills and setup, solid posture
- Consistent vibrato, good understanding of rhythm/dynamics/articulations
- 9th grade and younger
This group rehearses on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-3:30PM, and performs in 3 formal concerts throughout the season. Ms. Amanda Su conducts this group.
