March 3rd 2019 Concert Charles W. Eisemann Center (Evening)

Our evening concert at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson features our Philharmonic, Symphony and Chamber ensembles – our most advanced student groups. This concert will feature soloist Dr. Jennifer Glidden, Assistant Professor of Music, Voice and Opera at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Tickets are $15 (+$2 fee from the Eisemann center), and will be sold exclusively through the Eisemann website. (see link immediately below!)

Repertoire for the evening includes:

Symphony Orchestra

  • Symphony No. 2 in D Major (4th mvmt.) by Johannes Brahms
  • Die Fledermaus Overture by Johann Strauss II
  • “Dich, teure Halle” from Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner (with Dr. Glidden)
  • The Tai-Ya Love Song by Yuan-Kai Bao 
  • “Wie nahte mir der Schlummer/Leise, Leise” from Der Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber (with Dr. Glidden)

Philharmonic Orchestra

  • Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens/Amy Williams
  • Chanson de Nuit by Edward Elgar
  • Light Calvary Overture by Franz von Suppé –

Chamber Group

  • Studio Ghibli Medley (featuring works The dragon boy, A town with an Ocean View and Path of the Wind) by Joe Hisaishi Arr. Andrea Motas
  • Break Away mvt. III: Smoke by Jessie Montgomery
