February 22, 2026 Evening Concert featuring Dr. Yuxin Mei

The Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra (DAAYO)’s evening concert on February 22th, 2026 will feature our Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras, as well as our Chamber group. We’ll also have a special soloist and renowned pipa virtuoso, Dr. Yuxin Mei, performing Clouds and Flowers Fantasia 《雲想．花想》by Wang Danhong (王丹紅) with our Symphony orchestra. This is an enchanting piece with lively spirit and dance-like rhythms, and tops off an exciting night of classical music that is suitable for the whole family.
DAAYO’s advanced full orchestras feature some of the top young musicians in the DFW area, working together once a week throughout the season to produce great music for the north Texas community.
Conductors Matthew Moreno (Symphony) & Julie Blackstock (Philharmonic) conduct our two full orchestras, while Dallas Symphony Co-concertmaster Nathan Olson and Dallas Symphony violins Daphne Volle and Jimin Lim coach our chamber groups.
